About Us: The Real MVPs Behind CompassionateMoms.org
Ever wondered who’s behind all those “you’ve totally got this, mama” pep talks and “here’s how to remove spaghetti from the ceiling” tutorials? Well, grab a cup of coffee (or let’s be honest, that cup you’ve already reheated three times today), and let us introduce ourselves.

Our Story
CompassionateMoms.org wasn’t born in a glamorous boardroom with perfectly dressed executives sipping sparkling water. Nope. It was conceived much like many of the best ideas in parenting—amidst chaos, with a desperate need for solutions, and fueled by way too much caffeine.
We’re a team of parents who’ve been in the trenches. We’ve decoded mysterious baby rashes at 3 AM, negotiated with tiny tyrants over broccoli consumption, and mastered the art of answering “why?” for the 467th time in a single afternoon. Some of us have advanced degrees in child development and nutrition, while others have PhDs in finding lost socks and removing crayon from walls.
What unites us? We believe that parenting doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful, and that sometimes the best advice comes with a side of humor and a whole lot of compassion.
Our Mission
At CompassionateMoms.org, we’re on a mission to create the parenting resource we wish we’d had during those moments when Google searches like “is it normal for baby to eat lint” and “how to remove peanut butter from hair” became part of our browser history.
We aim to provide expert-backed, real-world tested advice that acknowledges one universal truth: parenting is simultaneously the hardest and most rewarding job on the planet. And sometimes you need both scientific research AND someone who gets that you haven’t showered in three days.
What Sets Us Apart
While other parenting sites might show you picture-perfect nurseries and children who apparently never have meltdowns in the cereal aisle, we’re here for the beautiful mess that is real parenting. We promise to:
- Never pretend we have it all figured out (spoiler alert: no one does)
- Provide evidence-based information without the judgment
- Acknowledge that sometimes “good enough” parenting is actually great parenting
- Remember that behind every parenting question is a human being doing their best
- Never underestimate the power of a good parenting hack or a well-timed laugh
Our Expertise
Our team brings together diverse backgrounds in pediatric health, child development, nutrition, education, and the highly specialized field of negotiating with toddlers. Some of us have formal training, others have learned through the school of hard knocks (sometimes literally, thanks to Legos left on the floor).
What makes our content trustworthy isn’t just our professional credentials—it’s that we’ve lived it. We’ve survived the newborn phase on two hours of sleep. We’ve mastered one-handed typing while nursing. We’ve experienced the particular joy of finally getting a picky eater to try something green.
And we’ve done the research—lots of it—so you don’t have to spend your precious naptime hours down internet rabbit holes.
Our Content Philosophy
We organize our content into carefully curated categories not because parenting fits into neat little boxes (ha!), but because we know you’re probably reading this while also cooking dinner, refereeing a sibling squabble, or hiding in the bathroom for five minutes of peace.
Our pregnancy guides won’t just tell you what fruit size your baby resembles each week—they’ll also address the real questions, like “why do my ankles now resemble tree trunks?” and “is it normal to cry because someone ate the last cookie?”
Our postpartum content acknowledges that the “fourth trimester” can feel like being dropped on an alien planet with a tiny, loud roommate and a body you barely recognize.
And our parenting strategies? They’re field-tested by parents who understand that sometimes the most sophisticated behavioral management technique is simply finding your child’s missing lovey before bedtime.
Behind the Scenes
On any given day, our virtual office space looks something like this:
- Someone’s typing with a baby on their lap
- Someone’s testing a new family-friendly recipe (and possibly cleaning spaghetti sauce off the ceiling)
- Someone’s researching the latest recommendations on sleep training while ironically running on no sleep themselves
- Someone’s editing content while simultaneously explaining why the sky is blue to a curious preschooler
We communicate via messages peppered with typos because tiny hands keep grabbing our phones, and our video meetings occasionally feature surprise guest appearances from children and pets.
But this is precisely why our content resonates—we’re living the very life we’re writing about.
Join Our Community
CompassionateMoms.org isn’t just a resource—it’s a community. We believe in the “it takes a village” approach, especially in a world where actual villages can be hard to come by.
When you read our articles, join our discussions, or share our content, you’re not just consuming information—you’re becoming part of a network of parents who understand both the profound joy and the occasional absurdity of raising tiny humans.
We invite you to bring your questions, your experiences, and yes, even your parenting fails (we’ve all been there). Because if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that parenting is better when we do it together—with knowledge, with support, and with the occasional knowing laugh.
Our Promise to You
We promise to be your trusted companion throughout your parenting journey, offering guidance without judgment, expertise with empathy, and serious advice with a side of humor.
Because we know that behind every search for “developmental milestones” or “healthy snack ideas” is a parent who deeply loves their child and is doing their absolute best.
And that parent—yes, you—deserves both helpful information and the occasional reminder that you’re doing a great job, even on days when the house looks like a toy store exploded and dinner was cereal. Again.
Welcome to CompassionateMoms.org. We’re so glad you’re here. Now, if you’ll excuse us, someone just yelled “Mom, there’s something sticky in my hair!” and we need to go investigate.
